Dear Uncle Dixer: I am interested in a row of townhouses. In front of the townhouses is a parking lot perpendicular to the doorsteps. That means cars may be facing the house. Is it bad Feng Shui?
Answer: If the parking lot and the house are on the same level and there are no barriers between the two, then it is not desirable from a Feng Shui perspective. Putting up a low wall to block out the car lights at night and also for safety would help.
If the two are on a different levels and you would not be bothered by the lights and the car noise, and if the car is not able to run into your house, then it is fine.
