Answer: The front door is important because it is located at the front or the face of the house. It is where the Qi of the external environment is interacting with the Qi of the internal house in the most active and frontal way.
The majority of the external Qi is taken-in or received by the house in this threshold between the indoor and the outdoor. This includes the Qi brought by the occupants and visitors going in and out of the house that bring in either fortune or calamity to the house, all of which affects the well-being of the people living there. In other words, the front door is the door that has the most environmental Qi influence to a house. That is why the front door is so important, more so than the side doors and backdoor.
