Introduction
If you’re moving to a new house, it’s a good idea to consult a Feng Shui expert who can provide you with practical tips on how to make your home more advantageous for you. Feng Shui experts in Sydney, like Uncle Dixer, can take into account the qualities of the property that you will be occupying, your present and future goals, and the concerns that you want to address. Then, they can give you practical tips on how to make your home environment work best for you. The goal here is to maximize the good qualities of the space while reducing the effects of the parts that may not be well suited to your needs.
Today, Uncle Dixer is answering an inquiry from someone who wants to improve the home that they will be living in.
Dear Uncle Dixer: I’d like your kind advice about my new house in terms of what we should change, add, or pay more attention to. Our house faces Northeast. The furniture’s color is predominantly white. Both the front and the back of the house have a garden.
I was born in June of 1985 and my fiancé was born in March 1986.
Answer: According to the Eight-Mansion School of Feng Shui, your new house suits your fiancé more than you. Thus, make sure he is nice and supportive of you. It’s also better if you can decorate the house according to the way you want it more than he does.
Too much white furniture is not always desirable, so add some colorful paintings and artwork to keep things in balance.
If the front and the back gardens are both small, then make sure the trees and shrubs are located at the edges of the property. This will keep the in-between space open and free, making it look and feel more spacious. Also, placing a stone Buddha statue at the south corner of the back garden would give you more support, which will benefit both of you equally.
Additional Comments
While white is an auspicious color, too much of it may not work well for the home. The addition of colorful paintings and artwork can have a positive effect on the environment, maintain balance, and give more personality to a home that is predominantly neutral in color. The suggested placement of the plants in the gardens in the front and back of the home not only affects the luck of the people living on the property, but it also has practical benefits. These include giving the inhabitants more space to move around and a means to protect their privacy.
